Description
The Celtic Triple Spiral design is an ancient pagan symbol for the triple goddess and unity of the self, as well as a modern reflection of the Christian trinity. It’s also known to represent the three stages of life as ‘mother, maiden, crone’ and versions of it appear in the Book of Kells and the shape is carved into the stone at Newgrange in Ireland. In short, it's been around a while!
This design was hand-drawn, and then scanned into the computer - the print was finished digitally with lots of layering and transparencies.

I've always loved this symbol and the meaning behind it. I'm also a fan of how people have interpretted it on their own and use in 'modern' times. Fascinating to see a symbol as old as this still going strong, if that makes any sense.
I actually have the triskele tattooed on my forearm.
